£714 raised for Lifespan

Over one weekend, £714 has been raised through Community Fundraising for Lifespan Charity.

Thanks to Darren, Ian and staff at The Travellers Rest, Slaley hosting a fundraising Pub fun day for Lifespan on Saturday 10th September.  A wonderful amount of £150 was raised in only three hours of fun pub games, hot dogs, donations and Live music from Helen and her co artist who very kindly played the Northumbrian Pipes throughout the event.

The success of Saturday was followed on the Sunday with £564.50 raised at The 2016 Great North Run (GNR) by our Community Fundraiser Laura Jane Jenkins and Lifespan Trustee Susan Ross took to the event for their first attempt. Susan and Laua Jane completed the race in 2hours & 20minutes. A great time for their first run.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the fun day on Saturday and to everyone who supported and sponsored our runners on Sunday. We are delighted at the amount raised Delighted for Lifespan Complementary in just one weekend - Just amazing.
